Mexican Indigenous Voices of Ventura County
Please join us to celebrate the opening of EnFoque at the 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. Featuring over 40 portraits, this exhibition centers Ventura County’s Mexican Indigenous communities—including the Mixteco, Zapotec, Purépecha, Maya, Nahua, and Otomí. Celebrating traditions, cultural knowledge, and a shared love for Ventura County, it highlights the enduring power of community and the universal human journey of connecting across borders while creating home together in a new place.
EnFoque is a traveling exhibition by the Museum of Ventura County. This exhibition was created by the Museum of Ventura County and brought to the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center with support from Ventura County Credit Union, the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation and the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center.

Featuring work by 46 regional artists, including featured Simi Valley artist Vanessa Morrow, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on the ways we nurture ourselves, support our communities, and create meaningful connection in times of stress, uncertainty, and change.
